Handling guide for cafés and coffee shops
Honeycomb Bread and Sabaya are shipped frozen and arrive ready to reheat and serve. Products may be refrozen upon arrival and stored frozen until ready to prepare and serve.
Here is how our café accounts store and serve them.
Honeycomb bread
- Store the honeycomb bread in the freezer until ready to use.
- To thaw, place it in the refrigerator overnight, or leave it on the countertop for 1 to 2 hours before reheating in a convection oven.
- Once thawed, use a cake divider tool to cut the bread into 12 equal pieces.
- After removing the divider, be sure to cut through the center area of the tray.
- To serve warm, place each piece in a conventional oven at 425°F (220°C) for 1 minute or longer depending on your oven.
Sabaya
Store in the freezer. Move it to the refrigerator overnight, then reheat in the microwave for 45 seconds and serve with honey.
Storage guidelines: honeycomb bread and sabaya
- Freeze all honeycomb bread and sabaya orders immediately upon arrival.
- Store products in the freezer for up to 1 year or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
- Products may be displayed in the refrigerated display case for up to 2 days only, as the frequent opening and closing of the case prevents it from maintaining a consistent temperature.
Wholesale orders have a 15-unit minimum. Pricing is shared by inquiry only and is not published online.
